Manu Vallejo: “We have a lot to improve, but we’re on the right track”
Manu Vallejo made his unofficial debut for Valencia CF in the friendly defeat against AS Monaco, and spoke to VCF Media after the game.
The match
“The feeling I have is typical for the opening weeks of preseason. We’re training a lot and we aren’t bad. We have a lot to improve, but we’re on the right track.”
An unofficial debut
“I’m trying to adapt to the pace and to my teammates, little by little. I didn’t feel bad, but I do feel that there is plenty of room for improvement. I’m looking forward to keeping working and getting minutes.”
Combining with Gameiro
“It’s what I was looking for: Giving my all and contributing for my teammates. I know why I’ve come here, and it’s to give everything I have and try and give the coach a tough choice with his selection.”
The atmosphere at the club
“It’s like Soler said to me in the Under-21s European Championships: The dressing room is really good and they’re helping me a lot with my adaptation. I’m delighted, because they’ve made it easy for me and I’m happy to be getting minutes.”
